Technology in service of mission

The tools of the age, in the hands doing the good.

The Foundation for Personal Agency helps charities, community associations and social enterprises master today's technology — including AI — so they spend less time wrestling their tools and more time on the work that matters.

01 — Mission

We believe agency is the whole point.

Technology should serve a mission — not consume it. Yet the organisations doing the most good often spend their scarcest hours fighting the very tools meant to help them.

Give an organisation true command of its tools, and everything downstream gets easier.

We exist to put that command back where it belongs: in the hands of the people doing the work. Practical capability, plainly taught — so that good organisations can act for themselves, and keep their attention on the impact they were built to make.

02 — What we do

Capability, plainly taught.

Three ways we put modern tools within reach — no jargon, no mystique, no lecture hall.

01

In-person training

We come to you. Hands-on sessions built around your real work and run for your team in the room — not a webinar, not a manual.

02

Demystifying AI

We make the new tools legible: what they are genuinely good for, what they are not, and how to use them safely and well.

03

Workflows & systems

We help you build the systems that absorb the repetitive work — so your people are freed for the work only people can do.

03 — How we work

From overwhelmed to in command, in three moves.

01

We come to you

Training happens in person, in your context, with your real tasks on the table — not abstract examples on a slide.

02

We demystify the tools

You leave understanding the technology itself — not just following a script that someone else wrote for you.

03

You focus on impact

With the busywork systematised, your team spends its time where it actually counts: on real-world results.

Who's behind it

After years advising governments on technology and its policy, I kept meeting brilliant, mission-driven organisations being left behind by the very tools meant to lift them. This is my answer — put the capability directly into their hands, in person, without the mystique.
